200RYT Foundational Vinyasa Teacher Training (295 hrs)

with Sara Turk, E-RYT 500

Nov 2017 - Apr 2018 (exact dates coming soon..)

Cherry Blossom Yoga Foundational Vinyasa Teacher Training emphasizes a dedicated, regular practice of asanapranayamameditation, and exploration of theory. These lay the foundation upon which to teach from a place of experiential knowledge.

Throughout the training, all sessions will include elements of theoretical and practical application of teaching yoga - within the group as well as public classes. While the fundamentals of teaching can be learned through education, there is an art to the presentation of a class that comes from within the individual, rooted in authenticity. A dedicated practice of yoga is critical to the continuing self-education of a teacher, yet one must also practice the art of teaching in order to develop the skills necessary to be a successful conveyer of yogic knowledge. This training will provide ample opportunity to practice your teaching skills before embarking in the 'real world.'

The theoretical component of the course includes completion of assignments/home study and exams (take-home, written comprehensive, and oral) to be submitted for final certification.

By utilizing the Ashtanga Primary Series as a practice and teaching template, you will be able to teach vinyasa styles of yoga. Those who undertake deeper study of the Ashtanga-Vinyasa system itself will be able to teach Ashtanga with confidence. NEW to this upcoming training is the addition of a YIN & RESTORATIVE MODULE.

With the addition of this new module, as well as the extension of the training to span 6 months, total training hours equal 295. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to register as a 200 RYT Vinyasa Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
